What Happens at the First Appointment?

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get acquainted, talk about what brought you in, and begin identifying the concerns and goals you would like to address. Learn more about what to expect and how the first appointments are structured.

What Should I Bring?

You do not need to bring special materials. We provide paper and a pen if you would like to take notes. You are also welcome to use your phone to take photographs of information we review or to record the session for your own personal use.

How Long Is an Appointment?

Most appointments last approximately 45–60 minutes. The exact length may vary somewhat depending on the purpose of the meeting and what we are working on that day.

Cancellations and Schedule Changes

We understand that plans sometimes change. Whenever possible, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late-cancellation or missed-appointment fees may apply when adequate notice is not provided. Open the appointment portal for scheduling.

Telehealth Appointments

For telehealth visits, please plan to enter the telehealth waiting room approximately 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This gives you time to make sure your connection, sound, and video are working and helps us begin the appointment on time. Learn more about telehealth coaching.

Payment Arrangements

Payment arrangements and the method of payment are established before the appointment takes place. This helps avoid confusion and allows the visit itself to remain focused on your care. Review insurance, EAP, and payment information.
