Writing that explores emotional intelligence, self-observation, personal growth, relationships, and the stories through which people understand themselves.

Mask Theory explores the emotional identities people construct to protect themselves, gain acceptance, and navigate relationships. It invites readers to look beneath familiar labels and outward roles to examine the beliefs, fears, expectations, and protective strategies that give those masks their purpose. The emphasis is not on condemning the mask, but on understanding it with curiosity and developing a more flexible, self-accepting relationship with the person beneath it.

This companion workbook turns the ideas in Mask Theory into structured self-observation. Guided prompts and practical exercises help readers identify recurring masks, trace the beliefs and emotional predictions supporting them, and consider how those patterns affect choices and relationships. It is designed for thoughtful use between coaching sessions or as a personal framework for approaching self-awareness, fallibility, and unconditional self-acceptance with greater clarity.

Grow a Pear uses direct language and humor to examine courage, responsibility, emotional maturity, and the difficult choices involved in living deliberately. Rather than promising effortless transformation, the book encourages readers to notice the beliefs and avoidance patterns that keep them immobilized, tolerate the discomfort of acting differently, and take practical ownership of what remains within their influence.

Go Suck a Lemon: Strategies for Improving Your Emotional Intelligence presents emotional intelligence in accessible, candid, and often humorous language. It examines how perceptions, beliefs, demands, and the words people use contribute to emotional experience. Readers are encouraged to recognize those patterns, question rigid conclusions, and practice more deliberate responses without confusing a mistake, feeling, or difficult circumstance with their entire identity.

Back When We Were Trying gathers love stories that do not resolve themselves into tidy lessons or conventional romance. With candor and dark humor, the collection turns toward the confusion, disappointment, awkward silence, persistence, and imperfect decisions that often accompany intimate relationships. The stories make room for the experiences people remember precisely because they did not unfold as planned.

Overheard Cubed chronicles three years of conversations, narratives, remarks, and improbable workplace stories overheard in cubicles and open offices. The collection captures what people say when they believe no one is listening: the outrageous, unguarded, unexpectedly revealing, and frequently hilarious fragments of everyday working life. It is a compact work of observational humor built from the peculiar theater of the modern workplace.

This published dissertation examines whether articulated, think-aloud disputation can strengthen the transfer of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy from the clinical setting into everyday emotional problem-solving. The study followed 35 adult participants and evaluated emotional-intelligence and social problem-solving outcomes. Although no overall between-group effect emerged, emotional-intelligence scores increased significantly over time within the training group, supporting further study of deliberate verbal practice as a bridge between insight and daily application.
